Bill Klaser and his twin sons Kevin and Kurt Klaser released 1 Black Marlin, 1 Striped Marlin and 18 Sails, another Grand Slam! Bob Franklin and son, Shaun hooked into a Striped Marlin. While fighting the fish, a Black Marlin swam past. Quick action from the mate and they were hooked into this 300 lb Black Marlin. It was released two hours later!

JULY:

Beginning in July, we run only 6 boats and have various special packages such as our ÒKids ClubÓ and ÒMarlin Special.Ó We had a good Marlin bite the first week and all boats raised Marlin. Edward and Fred Goldstein raised 2 Blacks and released one. Not bad for 3 days and they also caught 17 Sails, three of them on Fly! Father Torres and his sons Oscar, Jr. and Sergio released 8 Sails and a 53 lb Cubera Snapper on their last day. Harry, Harry, Jr. and Kim Anderson released 11 Sails and had a Black on in one day. Jack Demarco, Michael Reed and Michael O'Hara landed a Black Marlin, 13 Sails and a 50 lb Dolphin in 4 days. Bob Vogt, Robert Brasher, Robert Lindquist and Darren Miller released 7 Sails and raised a Black Marlin all in the same day.



A Hungry Rooster

By the middle of July, many families were taking advantage of our specials. In one week we released 2 Blacks, 2 Blues, 1 Striped Marlin and 55 Sailfish. All anglers took time to fish the beautiful shoreline for Snapper and Roosterfish as well. Yvonne and Rick Buckley caught 73 fish representing 9 different species including 1 Black Marlin, 39 Yellowfin Tuna, 12 Sailfish, 9 Jack Crevalle, 6 Sierra Mackerel, 3 Blue Runner, 1 Wahoo, 1 Shark and fought another huge Marlin for 3 ½ hours on 80 lb stand up. Andy Fanter and photographer Tim Simos caught a 230 lb Black Marlin. Jeff Boyd and his son, Sam released 1 Blue Marlin and 11 Sails their first time offshore fishing. Junior Anglers Sarah, Carter and Caroline Atkinson had a great time! Sarah's Dad, Carl, witnessed her catching a great 50 lb plus Snapper.Imagine the smiles as Carter and Caroline each released their first Sailfish!

The last week of July 14 Blacks were landed, 8 Black, 6 Blue and without even targeting them, 82 Sails! This week with six boats fishing, five boats caught Marlin and one boat caught 4! There were numerous Sailfish, Roosterfish, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, and Snapper. Ten-year old  Andris Repins caught his First Black, Blue Marlin and Pacific Sailfish! He and his dad were high boat with 3 Black and 1 Blue Marlin, 17 Sails, 6 Yellowfin, 3 Dolphin and 2 Wahoo in 6 days. Andrew Seamans and Kirby Smith each caught their first Blacks along with Jim Campbell. Bobby Spooner, William Clarke and Vincent Dvorin caught their first Blue Marlin (one over 500 pounds.)
