Jesus Grecco proudly showing off this heafty Dorado catch Offshore: The Sailfish bite continues to be good thru the first two weeks of April and the bite has been especially good just in front of our bay, within 2 miles of the club. Sardine schools are popping up all along the coast and this is why the Sailfish come every season around this time.
Inshore: The Roosterfish bite has been rather slow lately due to a series of large ground swells that churned up the inshore coastal waters making it difficult for our crews to get to the hotspots.

Tropic Star Lodge is honored to pay tribute to journalist and photographer Pat Ford. Pat's photos have graced the covers of numerous major fishing publications; not to mention the major articles he's penned, along, with his own touch of photo journalism. You would think Pat never sleeps when you see how many incredible photos he takes. Pat especially loves to photograph our Tropic Star Lodge Majestic Black Marlin, which he's enjoyed for years.
