The fishing continues to be excellent. Sails are biting and there are some marlins on the reef. Although not considered prime time for marlin, there seem to be some stragglers around and some anglers who happen to be at the right place at the right time, sometimes get lucky. We are indeed thankful for these moments.

George and Debbie Christianson, David Le Boeuf and Jo Ellen Harrell visited us at Pinas Bay for some offshore fishing. On the first day out they went 9 for 11 on sailfish, definitely not a good start. Day 2 they went 1 for 2 on Black Marlin on the reef. The following 2 days they released a further 13 Pacific Sails. Congratulations!

Billy Crawford and Sam Fiedler also visited us at the lodge this week. Billy hooked into a nice Black Marlin estimated at 300 lbs and got a release. This was his first Black Marlin. They released a further 6 Sailfish during the trip and a very large Roosterfish around 60 lbs.

Alfonso de Robina Sr. & Jr. were also here to enjoy a few days of fishing. Alfonso Jr. released a nice Black Marlin, and had 12 school sized yellowfin tunas the first day out. The last couple of days they shared in some sailfish action.

The marlin bite looks to be improving and the sails are definitely around. I hope to see more numbers as we progress through the summer.
