This week at Tropic Star we were once again blessed with the presence of His Majesty the Black Marlin. Many tailing fish were spotted and anglers got a kick out of tossing live baits at them. The water also remained calm so spotting them were fairly easy. A few sailfish are showing up along the coast now and some lucky anglers had a few shots at them. The inshore bite continues to be excellent with huge Roosterfish catches up to 85 lbs.
Dan, John, Shannon, and Linda Shimmin accompanied by and Clifford and Linda Grua came to Tropic Star this week. Whether offshore or inshore they seemed to be always on the fish. Linda released her first Black Marlin estimated at 400 lbs. Clifford also had a shot at a Black Marlin around 250 lbs and had a release. He also released his first Pacific Sailfish.
