As we wrap up the month of July the bite continues to be good. The Marlin are biting offshore and hoards of tuna and big dorado continue to stretch or lines.

Margot Vincent brought her grandson Kyle back for the second time this year. He was in pursuit of a Junior IGFA record catch and really put in the hours. He finally scored with a 14.1 lb Rainbow Runner which beat the record of 12.8 lbs caught right here week before. Kyle also spent some time offshore and was rewarded with a nice Blue Marlin and some sails. Congratulations on your record catch!

Stephen “T-Bone” and Denise Lacour along with their friends Thomas Kavounts and Patricia Cobb also visited us at Pinas Bay this week. Denise had been here way back in 1972. She released a nice Black Marlin and T-Bone released a Blue Marlin. He also battled a giant Yellowfin Tuna which weighed in at 162.5 lbs. Both Patricia and Thomas released their first Pacific Sailfish on this trip.

Richard and Yvonne were back again this week for another bout of marlin fever. Yvonne released a Black Marlin and Blue Marlin this time to bring her total up to 77 Marlin released on stand-up tackle.

Leo Harrison brought his son Keshin back to Tropic Star for another week of offshore fishing. Leo released a nice Black Marlin on this trip and they both had a fair share of sails, tuna and dorado.
