Sailfish on a fly in the offshore waters of Pinas Bay Panama
I’m pleased to report that the Christmas and New Year’s week has exceeded our expectations. The billfish bite has been nothing but spectacular and His Majesty the Black Marlin has arrived just in time for the holidays. There’s also a really fantastic Blue Marlin bite and Sail fishing has been very explosive. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve seen this many Dorado, some in the 60+ lb class. The first great fish story took place just a few days ago when brothers Jackson and Tyler Babb hooked into a monstrous Black Marlin and fought the huge fish for over 4 hours on 50 lb test line.
