Mini Torneo Tropic Star 2004 Results

DECEMBER 3
This week we hosted our first TROPIC STAR MINI TOURNAMENT. We had six teams fishing for four days, rotating boats daily. We released 59 Sails and 3 Marlin!

The Action:
Day one Team Endless Summer led with 900 points, they released a Black Marlin and 6 sails, Angler Andrew Findlay Jr. scored a whopping 800 of the teams 900 points releasing his first Black Marlin and 5 sails. Team Bubba followed with 500 points, Bob Schultz released three Sails earning him 300 points and his fishing buddy, Bruce Baker released two Sails for 200 points.

On day two Team Endless Summer continued their good form. With good fishing conditions all boats where in the fish, Team Endless Summer and Team Bubba ended the day with an equal score of 1200 points. Team Miscreants had a good day with 4 Sails and Third place position.

Day three, Bob Schultz, Andrew Findlay Sr. and Al Watts all released 3 Sails each. Team Bubba overtook Team Endless Summer ending with 1700 points compared to Endless Summers 1600 points.

On Day Four the heat was on and after a great night of tactical discussion all teams had a plan. Team Miscreants ran 15 miles to the North and released 10 Sails this put them in third place and they almost caused an upset. Well done guys, great tactics.

Team BUBBA had a good last day with 3 releases. Team Endless Summer released a black marlin early in the morning and just need a sail or two to win. They ended up releasing 4 Sails and taking the trophy.

Well done to all anglers it was a lot of fun.
