April 25-30, 2004
Fishing has been slow with most boats averaging around 8 to 9 sail releases. We totaled 71 sails and 4 marlins for the week. The inshore fishing has been good with trophy snapper and roosterfish.
The Action:
The Miss England did well with first time bill fishing anglers Dr. Bill Richards and his wife Chris. Bill released a 500 lbs plus blue marlin and his first pacific sailfish. Kris Richards also released a nice sail - her first. They ended the week with 16 sails and a magic blue marlin, well done guys.
The Miss Canada with rookie captain Jose released 13 sails and jumped a good black marlin with anglers Philip and Betty Larson.
The Miss France released 9 sails for the week with anglers Richard Kinzalow, Rick Sharp, Chris Goetz and Marc Threet. They also had a shot at a black marlin.
Jeff Dennis brought friends from the US in their private jet, among them Tom F. Louderback who landed a 400 lb black - his first! Jeff released two sails on fly. Thanks to Jeff for bringing new friends to this paradise.
