April 3-10, 2004
The marlin bite was back as we released 8 blacks, 7 blues and 42 sails for the week. We are now into our "half" weeks meaning that we
have less boats fishing a full week and our anglers get a chance to fish three or
four day weeks. The sardines have shown up in Jaque just after the first
rains, the sails should be here any day now.
Fishing times are split three ways between sails, marlin and inshore fishing.
The Action:
The Miss Panama released 1 black and 1 blue with anglers Jack Dimaggio,
Gary Ciuffo and Joseph Palmeri. Later in the week Captain Dagoberto released 2
more blacks and a blue with anglers Fernando Carbajal and Anival Urteaga.
Well done guys!
Eduardo Sanchez and Claude Collins released 15 sails on the Miss Darien.
Miss Australia fishing with Mike and Judy Lempke released 2 blacks, 2 blues
and 4 sails. The amazing thing was that the 2 blacks and the 2 blues were
released on the same day, giving both Mike and Judy a grand slam for the week!
Thanks to Mike and Judy for giving us such high rankings, they are from
Wallaston Lake Lodge, Canada.
The Miss Puerto Rico with Captain Armando released 2 blacks and 2 blues
with anglers Joe Blade and Todd James. These guys came to celebrate their
friend Brad Ashlin's bachelor party at Tropic Star lodge, boy did they make a
good choice!
