The guests this week enjoyed a wide variety of fish. The rains were tapered off later in the week. The tides were extremely early in the week. As things settled, the Marlin started cooperating.

The water offshore is beautiful. Inshore there is a thin layer of green water on the surface. The Wahoo were scarce, but the Roosterfish made an impression. We are very excited to see the Roosterfish hanging around as long as possible. Did I mention that they were large Roosterfish? Some of the fish were way over 60lbs. Outstanding fish, especially when they jump. Loads of Tuna came to the baits; the largest was in the 140lb range.

It is rare that we see Tarpon in the Pacific Ocean, but they have been making there way through the locks for decades. It is a rare treat to catch a pacific Tarpon.

Robert Kern came to stay in the palace with his entire immediate family. They had a good time and many of them caught their first species. He caught his first Black Marlin on the reef. He fished hard for that one. The fish decided to cooperate the last day of their stay. I like to see dedication pay off.

Anna Vlasova caught and released her first Pacific Sailfish and her first Roosterfish as well. Michael Schwarz released his first Pacific Sailfish.

Lukas Folk came to fish with his father. Lukas caught and released his first Pacific Sail while fishing with a fly. Lukas was the man. He fought a stout Black Marlin for roughly 4 hours on the reef. He was pretty fired up. These guys fished hard all week. They deserved this fish as well.

Lon and Karen Baronne came down and had a good time fishing with Chito on Miss Scandia. They did not find the marlin they were after, but they did have some fun chasing sails and tuna.

The Palmisanos came down and fished with Gustavo on Miss England. They were busy with Sails, Roosters and Tuna. They even caught a Tarpon. Christian caught his first Sail, Rooster and Cubera Snapper. Matthew managed to release his first Rooster and Sail. Robert was the lucky angler who released the Pacific Tarpon. Jim man aged to release his first Rooster and Pacific Sail as well. These guys were really great and we hope to see you guys again soon.

Jeffrey Fitter caught and released his first Pacific Blue Marlin. His father Eric did the very same thing the same day. They caught their fish with Capt Flaco aboard Miss South Africa, our newest Bertram.

John Sullivan caught his first Roosterfish. His good friend Frank Baldwin caught his first Pacific Sail.

Stacy and Marlee Flanagan both caught their first Pacific Sails with Captain Maso aboard Miss Spain. They had their shot at the big marlin, but it was not in the cards.

Mac Ferrell caught and released his first Pacific Blue Marlin. She was estimated to weigh 300lbs. Kay Ferrell caught a Yellowfin that was roughly half that size. The tuna they said was 140 something...

Larry Maddux and Bill Young released their first Pacific Sails.

That wraps up another fun week of fishing in the tropics.
