We released 10 Black Marlin, 2 Blue Marlin and 34 Sailfish this past week. The Dolphin and Tuna fishing was also good and we started to see Snapper boils near the islands at the entrance of the bay.

The Action:

The Miss Australia, released 2 Black Marlin and 1 Blue Marlin with anglers Paul and Marlene Snider, it was Paul’s first Black Marlin.

Jack and his cousin, Ken Butts with friend John Stankowskireleased a nice Black Marlin.

Edward Becker released his first Black Marlin on the Miss Scandia.

Daniel Erb completed his IGFA royal Grand slam with a Black Marlin, well done Daniel, Tropic Star has made this achievement a reality for many anglers.

Heinz Borho traveled all the way from Germany and released his first Black Marlin on the Miss Darien, well done Heinz!

Ronald Emery was a happy man when he released his first Black Marlin on the Miss Island Star.

Dominick Porcelli released his first black Marlin on the Miss Tropic Star.

Thomas Brownridge who has become a regular at the lodge also released his first Black marlin, Charles Newcomb and Gordon Fawcett a nice Blue Marlin on the Miss Canada, they hooked a few marlin on fly and released their first sails on fly.

Almost all the action happened in the first few days; our seasonal turnover of the water appears to be happening a bit earlier this year and lets hope it does not shut the fishing down. What has happened though is that the Snapper are boiling on the surface up and down the coast creating excellend inshore fishing and quite a sight to see.
