Hennie & Ursula Marais manage to keep you in fish stories. |
June 1, 2004
We moved into our new renovated offices. This should stop all the hate mail that I have been getting for not keeping you folks up to date with what is happening down here, I now have my desk and computer back.
We have added a few new staff members to our crew over the last few months in order to help myself and Ursula give better service to you our clients and to take better care of our staffs needs.
Our clients and staff numbers have more than doubled since we started here in 1999.
You guys will meet Lorena, Ursula's new assistant and our relief manager on your next visit - a lovely and most competent Panamian lady.
Some of you have already met Adrianne our new Public Relations person, this girl is everywhere taking care of all your needs.
We have Nilo and Royce as our new engineers making sure the boats and resort is tiptop.
Luis is our new dock master, Brandon will be your guide on panga fishing trips, and he will be available to fish with those who would like an English-speaking guide. Together with myself we will make sure your fishing experience is unbeatable.
Mike and Terri have been investing a lot of time and money back into the resort. We have upgraded all of the boats. Towers and GPS sounders are now complete. Our new live bait tank is proving a big HIT with clients and we should have all the small hiccups sorted for the 2005 season. Look and enjoy the improvements on your next visit.
OH YEAH, ABOUT THE FISHING:
The sailfish bite that started on Friday is still hot. This week we have Nelson Perez hosting his annual friendly Tampa Billfish tournament. Nelson sure is a great ambassador of Tropic Star and brought a few first time anglers.
After just 4 days of fishing they released 5 marlin, 262 sailfish, 64 tuna and 3 dolphin!
Emily Moose caught a potential junior world record rainbow runner - 7 lb 04 oz.
I just came in from weighing a roosterfish for Donna Moose, a beautiful 73lb rooster.
Tight Lines,
Hennie
