Marlin Great all around fishing, we released 20 marlin and 324 sailfish! 17 of the marlin were striped marlin, it is the best striped marlin bite that I have seen in my five years at Tropic Star Lodge - this place never ceases to amazes one.

The Action:

The Miss Canada fished 6 days and released 58 sails and one striped marlin with anglers Jim, Justin and Paul Gregory. Paul caught his first sailfish and a striped marlin in his first two days out, well done guys and please stay in the boat next time!

Corrie and his son CJ Steadman - regular clients and friends, fished the Miss Scandia. They each released a striped plus 13 sails. Eating at your table was a delight and the tuna was the best, special thanks to Biscom your waiter.

Sailfish John Black and Lynda Gaede - first time anglers from North Carolina fished with Captain Armando on the Miss Puerto Rico and are they spoiled for life - releasing 41 sails and a striped marlin each!

We also had a great group fishing 6 boats - Ron Williams and Vernon Walker - thanks for sharing this wonderful place with you and your Texan friends. The group released 128 sails, 10 striped and 3 blue marlins.

Tom Garibaldi and Jerry Machkovech released 46 sails! These guys have great wives, planning their trips every year without them even knowing, lucky guys. They made up the Tom and Jerry Team.

Karl Wickstrom, Roger Nicosia, William Biondi, John Squitero, Jim Mitchell, Paul Kleinfeld joined us later in the week - fishing the Miss England and France. Releasing 48 sails and one striped, they also released sails on a fly - a first - great to have had you guys.
