March 20-27, 2004
A five month long marlin bite still going strong!!!!!
We released 36 marlin, 31 sails and lots of sharks - the most I have ever seen as well as many roosters and snappers.
The Action:
A great marlin bite and good inshore fishing made for a good fishing
week. What is truly amazing is that we now have had a marlin bite since October
last year!
The sailfish bite was slow although many where spotted on the surface. They
should be arriving any day from the south.
The Miss Australia with
angler Jim Seegraves from Alaska released 4 marlin Friday - three blacks and a blue. Jim opted to fish inshore for roosters,
snappers, jacks and only went offshore on Friday to come home with four marlin
releases - well done Jim. Cody Seegraves fished two days and caught a potential junior
world record pacific cubbera snapper of 47.7 lbs.
The Miss Alaska released 4 blacks, a blue and 4 sails with
angler Gus Gillespie.
The Miss Scandia released 4 blacks with Micheal and Susan Voisin. The Miss Panama came in with anglers John and June Tanguy with their
first black marlin releases.
