March 1-6, 2004
17 marlin raised - 14 released, 85 sails released.
The action:
We caught and released 11 black marlin. 9 of the 11 blacks were
released by anglers that have never before caught a black marlin.
The top boats were Miss Scandia with 3 black marlin releases and 5 sails with anglers Ernest
Gaddy and Drew Andrews, Miss Tropic Star with Neil Henderson and Graeme Thomson
from Scotland and their friend David Suomi with 2 marlin releases.
Congratulations to Captain Alberto who won the billfish award for most black marlin tagged
in 2004. A Tropic Star boat has won this award for the last four years -
well-done guys.
