Monster Yellow fin Tuna were once again caught by our angler’s. Lloyd Griffin III and his wife Mary brought their sons Ralph and Lloyd together with their wives, Kristine and Heather, on a family vacation. Lloyd III and Mary both caught their first Pacific Sailfish on the same day to be followed by Lloyd the following day for his first Pacific Sailfish. Ralph then finished the week off with his first Black Marlin and a whopping monster Yellowfin Tuna of 237lbs.

After a long journey from England Terry Cline, Bob Nicklin, Lee Macklin and their friend from America, Al Sherrod were eager to get out and catch some fish. Terry started off all the action with a huge Yellowfin tuna of 93lbs. Bob and Lee going 1 on 1 and each caught a Black Marlin. Al then caught his first Black Marlin while Terry and Bob had some fun with Sailfish. We look forward to seeing them back later in the year.

Bob and his son Scott Sakuta returned for their annual visit together with Leo Corrieri. Leo bagged himself a 40lb Tuna when they went inshore fishing on their first day out. Scott then finally caught his first Black Marlin after having caught a number of Blue Marlin here. Bob caught himself a giant Roosterfish of 60lbs on another one of their inshore ventures.

Chuck Hormann and Neil Rossborough were having plenty of fun with Sailfish and Dorado in the first part of their stay. Then to put the cherry on the cake Chuck caught his first Black Marlin and 2 Sailfish while Neil got 3 on their last day to complete a great week.

Pete and Stacey Jenson once again teamed up with Captain Gustavo for a week of absolute fishing fun. Pete and Stacey both caught their first Pacific Sailfish and Pete a monster Tuna of about 200lbs. In between all that they caught Dorado, Wahoo and Rooster fish, not to forget a Bonito on the kayak.

Curt Tredenick and his son, Stephen had lots of fun catching Sailfish on the Spain. They had to do the Tropic Star tango when they got a double hook up and the fish were criss crossing their lines.

Bob Boshnack and Carmine Ramial were once again joined by Bob’s cousin Irwin Sicherman. Fishing with their favourite Captain, Libardo, they enjoyed some great inshore action with Irwin catching a 50lb Rooster. Bob also got into a tussle with a monster Yellow fin tuna of about 150lbs while Carmine landed a 40lb Amberjack.

Russell Shelkopf brought Richard, Dawn and Kathleen Marr with him for a bit of R&R and fishing action. Kathleen caught herself a lovely Dorado of 32lbs while Richard had a great tussle with a Yellow fin tuna of 109lbs. Dawn also having to win the battle with a Yellow fin tuna of 53lbs. Russell took a 2 days off from fishing a cleaned up on the pool table, beating our local champs Eddie and Patterson.

Coming all the way from Australia John Hallam and Brian Luecke, thoroughly enjoyed their time which was made even better with Brian’s monster Blue Marlin of about 600lbs!

Bill Campbell caught himself a beautiful Black Marlin of around 500lbs together with a couple of Pacific Sailfish while accompanied by his lovely wife Julia.

David Ribler and his son, Ethan caught a couple of Pacific Sailfish in between keeping the lodge supplied with plenty of Yellowfin tuna of 50lbs and lots of Dorado.
